A Little Bit of Everything

So this past week has been a full one! Lots of ups and downs along the way, but in the end everything is good! --AND we were all tired!

Saturday was Caleb's first "official" game. They had to be to the field by 8:15 am for individual and team pictures...the coach trying to keep all of the boys happy and under control was so funny to watch!

The above picture was the boys warming up before the game started. T-ball is different now that it was when I played. Now the coach pitches the ball to the boys and if they don't hit it after 4 tries then they get to hit the ball off of the tee. Caleb is doing really well and has been able to hit one of the balls at each turn to bat.

This weekend was also fun b/c we were able to take the kids to a local fair that was in town. It was sooooooo much fun. We were there for a full 4 hours! The kids rode the rides for 3 1/2 hours (the wrist bands are soooo worth it so the kids were able to ride as much as they wanted) and we ate yummy fair food (and Mc'Donalds b/c it was WAY cheaper and was right across the street). HOWEVER, I forgot to bring my camera!!! ARG! I got some pictures/video on Gene's cell phone but haven't put them into the computer yet.

Next we were able to go to Youngstown this weekend for Max's baby blessing (Valgene and Donald's baby) & also for Mother's Day. I didn't get a picture of Max in his outfit, but he looked adorable in Donald's old blessing outfit!

A tradition that the Moore family does for all of the Mothers is our big "Mother's Day Dinner". It is ALWAYS so nice and well thought/planned. This year we had a yummy HOMEMADE Italian dinner. It included some of the following:

Appetizers of shrimp cocktail....

...and bruschetta (with a twist) and let me tell you--AMAZING! I was full off of these before the main course was even served!

Main dishes included your choice of : veal parmesan, chicken parmesan, or eggplant parmesan

Along with your choice of: HOMEMADE spaghetti noodles/fettuccine noodles served with HOMEMADE marinara sauce, meat sauce or alfredo sauce!!! YUM-O...(we also had salads, your choice of romaine or spinach leafs with apples or mandarin oranges, along with cranberries, walnuts and dressing) HOLY COW!!!!

Dessert followed with fruit cups, with some of the biggest strawberries I have ever seen, and homemade cheesecake and brownies with vanilla ice cream!!!!


The men took orders, served, filled glasses, and took care of all of the kids (taking them on an egg hunt with the left over Easter eggs)

And here is Caleb with his new favorite "toy". This was a gift from Grandma (Christmas) and we have just gotten it out to play with. He was a little shy at first but now we can't get him off of it! Caleb's friend Eli was over one night and the two of them had some fun with it...and so did Emilee. She doesn't understand that when you put your foot on the gas you have to take it off in order to stop...good thing for Gene's quick reflexes or else there could have been some damage done to our neighbors car!
